A few series to tell you about

There are several series going on this month that I wanted you to know about. These are a few bloggers that I know with series on interesting and unique subjects so I wanted to be sure and share in case any of you are interested. I started sharing them on Facebook, but I know not all of you may have seen them (you can feel free to ‘like’ so you don’t miss things!), so I decided to share here.

Rachel is sharing 31 Days of Support for Your Special Needs Parenting Journey. Rachel’s journey began 8 years ago when her daughter was born prematurely (weighing only 1 lb. 2 oz.) resulting in many complications. Among other things, her daughter is visually impaired. If you are a parent of a special needs child, I know you will be encouraged. All of you will be touched by reading Cami’s story.

If you are a foster parent or are considering foster care, Ashley is sharing 31 Reflections on Instant Mothering. Ashley became an “instant mother” just a few months ago when she got the phone call that changed her life. A placement of a sibling group of four children ages 8 down to 3 weeks old. And get this, she had one hour notice. Ashley shares all the emotions in their journey of foster parenting and hopefully adoption.

Keren just started a series called Reading More Without Living Less. I mentioned her when I shared The One Thing I’ve Learned to Help Me Read More. If you have been trying to find a way to add reading to your day, I’m sure you will get lots of good ideas.

And after you get lots of good ideas from Keren, Sheila is sharing 31 Days of Great Non-Fiction Reads. I’m sure you’ll find more than a few books to add to your to-read list.

There are lots of other series going on this month, but I honestly haven’t had a chance to even look at them. Feel free to let us know in the comments if there are any great ones we should check out.

  1. I am interested in the “reading more without living less” I am horrible with fiction books, I get so involved in them that the house falls apart around me and I don’t notice. The nester at “the nesting place” is hosting a 31 days series right now at last count over 1100 bloggers had signed up. Her landing page for the series is a great place to find a topic that bests suits your interests and life situation. I am following at least 3 right now!

    • Yes, these are mostly part of the Nester’s 31 series. I just don’t have the time to go through 1000+ links right now! :)

  2. Thank you so much for sharing about my series!!! It has been a joy to share little snippets of what life has been like for us! I’m honored to be included!!!

  3. Thanks for these suggestions. One that I have been following is 31 days of simple outdoor adventures for boys at http://www.4tunate.net.

  4. Thanks for including me!

My friend Sarah is writing her series on starting & running a bookclub. I’m really enjoying it, because although I’ve recently joined the bookclub she started, I wasn’t there for the start, and don’t know all the behind-the-scenes details. I’ve been part of other bookclubs that didn’t work so well, and this one does, so it’s been interesting to me to see how it began and how other decisions are made that have helped it be so successful.

    • I just took a look and it is a great series! I think I”ll be following it as I’ve always been a little curious about book clubs!
