I Hear the Words of Love

I Hear the Words of Love

I hear the words of love,
I gaze upon the blood,
I see the mighty sacrifice,
And I have peace with God.

’Tis everlasting peace,
Sure as Jehovah’s Name;
’Tis stable as His steadfast throne,
For evermore the same.

The clouds may go and come,
And storms may sweep my sky;
This blood-sealed friendship changes not,
The cross is ever nigh.

I change—He changes not;
The Christ can never die;
His love, not mine, the resting-place;
His truth, not mine, the tie.

My love is oftimes low,
My joy still ebbs and flows;
But peace with Him remains the same,
No change Jehovah knows.

  1. Love, love, love H. Bonar’s hymns–thank you for sharing! I haven’t seen/heard this one in a while. Those last two stanzas always hit me so powerfully.

  2. Undeniably believe that that you stated. Your favorite justification appeared to be on the net the
    easiest thing to be mindful of. I say to you, I definitely get irked while other folks consider worries
    that they plainly do not realize about. You
    controlled to hit the nail upon the top and outlined out the whole thing without
    having side effect , folks could take a signal.
    Will probably be back to get more. Thanks

  3. It’s really very difficult in this busy life to listen news
    on TV, thus I simply use world wide web for that purpose, and
